Captive Portal was given the tracks from the original recording of GYM BODIES // EMPTY VESSELS by hardcore punkers DÜRER. He was given complete creative freedom with one caveat – create a drum’n’bass banger! The lads in DÜRER grew up listening to Basement Jaxx, Prodigy & Pendulum on BBC Radio 1 – danceable smash hits with heavy music undercurrents. Although they grew up to be punks they haven’t forgotten those early influences and the journey that began right there.

Captive Portal has delivered on that request – creating something that harks back to those 90’s and 00’s legends whilst crafting a song that is unique and current – borrowing riffs and a peppering of vocals from the original recording and layering beats, guitars and synth to sculpt a masterpiece. We challenge you not to dance to Gym Bodies!
