This is the first solo outing of Dave Emmerson (Dystopian Futures, Dürer) under his new moniker ‘Echolalia’. This single comprises two tracks that lean into the odd approach of composer John Cage as well as the long established tradition of field recordings. These compositions explore the notion that the daily sound scapes we take for granted should actually be seen as musical. We can, rather we should, find intrigue and beauty in the noises associated with seemly mundane tasks like making a cup of tea or sitting on the front steps.
